To be gentle in a cruel world is a challenge and an act of courage. This is not a weakness, but the ability to feel, empathize, preserve humanity, even when all around is stone and cold. Vulnerability opens us up to pain, but it also makes us real. It allows us to be honest with ourselves and the world, to find beauty where others see only wasteland. Accepting one's vulnerability is accepting one's true nature, which includes strength, weakness, and the will to live, despite all difficulties.
