Sandra Bertalanffy
Sandra Bertalanffy is a multidisciplinary artist of euro-mix heritage, shaped artistically primarily by her seven year cycle in New York City. Supported by the German Consulate General, Sandra's debut solo show in Manhattan in May 2018 paved the way for her to exhibit in various venues, including the River Arts District in Asheville, NC. Sandra’s media of choice are ink on paper and acrylic on canvas or wood panels. Her practice includes various techniques interlaced into abstract contemporary artworks. Her ink drawings are a poignant comment on current developments, whereas her paintings capture the underlying narrative from a more energetic angle. Her artworks are in private collections all over the world. Prolific late American photographer and Historian Michael Carlebach on Sandra's artwork: “Whimsical and poignant, accomplishing in but a few strokes what is essentially elusive.”
